Job description
A skilled Packer provides high-quality meats and services to our customers. The Packer will perform quality inspections, use vacuum packaging machines, sealers and other tools to weigh, pack and label cuts, and ensure that the products are attractive and eye-catching.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Perform meat quality inspections
● Use vacuum packaging machine, hand sealer, shrink tunnel and other equipment to pack and label
frozen meat cuts
● Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
● Ensure production output meets customer specifications
● Submit relevant production monitoring forms and reports
● Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
● Follow strict safety guidelines and company standards
Other functions and responsibilities:
● Attend meetings, training and seminars, as needed.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
● Education or food preparation or meat packaging experience.
● Proven experience in operating packaging equipment
● Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts
● Must be familiar in manufacturing and kitchen environment
● Must be able to work in a cold environment (8-10C)
● Must be willing to work while standing for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed
● Reasonable level of physical strength and stamina
● Strong oral/ written communication and interpersonal skills
● Keen attention to detail
● Safety-conscious approach
● Excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness
Preferred
● 1-2 years experience in a meat cutting or manufacturing company
